While the borders are shut, let’s take a trip down memory lane. Come with me as we travel back to the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s and ‘90s to rediscover the top trends of the decade. You might even find this is more of a back to the future type adventure, with familiar styles that may cause gentle whiplash. So jump in our virtual DeLorean, buckle up and let’s go for a ride.

Swinging '60s

The ‘60s saw the invention of tie-dye, lava lamps and the rise of The Beatles (already off to a great start). When it came to ‘60s footwear, ‘flat’ was the name of the game but only in terms of height. Low square heels, pointed toes, loafers and Mary Janes were all the rage.

Psychedelic ‘70s

Time to put your flared pants and dancing shoes on as we enter the disco era. The ‘70s were certainly colourful, championing world peace and flower power. What that looked like in shoe form? Think sock boots, platforms and ‘hippie’ sandals.

Iconic ‘80s

The ‘80s was a ‘go hard or go home’ kind of decade. Everything was done big - big hair, big blockbusters and big scrunches. It was also an era big on jazzercise, leg warmers and leotards. It was from this ‘stay active’ attitude that the love of sneakers & roller skates was born.

Naughty ‘90s

Gear up for some ‘90s grunge. Arguably the most memorable decade for millennials and for good reason. Butterfly clips, the Spice Girls and double denim are just the tip of the ice-burg (shout out to the Titanic too). ‘90s footwear took shape in the form of chunky soles, strappy heels and lace up boots.
